Erlangen is a university city in the metropolitan region of Nuremberg, which happens to be the world headquarters of many internationally known corporations. This multi-cultural city has two fantastic Christmas Markets: one in traditional Bavarian flair, and the other following a medieval theme. Both are within a short walking distance from one another. Additionally, an ice skating rink is located directly next to the Christmas Markets.
