1.       What equipment is available for rental?
This perhaps is the wrong question. The better question would be, what sort of opportunities are available for rent? Or, “How can Outdoor Rec change my life?” Or even, “How can Outdoor Recreation change my life with healthy life-long recreation opportunities?” The shortlist would look something like this: Kayaks, Canoes, StandUp Paddleboards, Mountain Bikes, Snowboards, Ski Apparel, Snowshoes, Trekking poles, Bounce Castles, Fest Tables, Canopies, Bean Bag Toss and Tug O War Ropes. Additionally, endless activities and travel opportunities abound.

2.       What are the rates for equipment rental?
Price lists are available upon request and can be found in the print and online copies of the Passport. Link to the Passport here. When comparing the rates of our competitors, you will be pleasantly surprised at our offerings, for example, our Season Ski Rental is only $230 for adults and $150 for child season rentals.
 
3.       How to I sign up for a tour or event?
One can sign up by coming in to our colorful, comfy Outdoor Recreation Center in Bldg H15 behind the Java Café and Bowling Center or by calling 09472 83 2060. We accept VISA, Mastercard, American Express, Cash and Check. Stay tuned for WebTrac.

4.       Where can I get my bike repaired?
Outdoor Recreation can build, repair, regenerate, rejuvenate, service and overhaul the whole spectrum of bicycles, from PX specials to 10K carbon race bikes. Beyond this, we can help customers learn to become mechanically conscientious and ,in so doing, help them to conserve the life of their investment.

5.       Who is eligible to go on Outdoor Recreation tours/events?
I.D. card holders, their families and registered guests.

6.       How can I see upcoming trips for the next six months?
Outdoor Recreation provides comprehensive quarterly schedules, the Passport is valuable resource, the website updates regularly.

7.       How do I rent a pavilion/canopy?
Call or visit us and a rental reservation form will be filled and signed by the customer. Payment must be taken upon reservation. You may take the equipment or arrange for pickup and return on at later date.

8.       How early should I reserve equipment/bus/venue?
Commercial charter buses: 10 working days prior to departure
Internal buses: 7 working days prior to departure
Equipment: 2 weeks recommended but many items available for walk-in pickup
Venues, Trips & Tours: 10 days minimum recommended

9.       Are there driving directions available?
For Force Protection, we do not provide directions on public sites but will happily email you directions to accompany your trip info packet when you enroll for one of our many wonderful treks or tours.

10.   Where can I find local campground information?
We have lovely campsites on post and many options are available in the surrounding area. Please come in to pick up one of our many colorful brochures!

11.   Do you offer lessons (skiing, snowboarding, canoeing/kayaking)?
We offer a level and depth of personal instruction rarely seen today. With more than 35 years European specific experience collectively held by our staff, there is a wide range of new skills awaiting you in our arsenal. We have warehouse shelves full of talent in all of our offered disciplines. This talent is just waiting to change the life of each individual customer. We provide the opportunity for a cleaner, healthier, and happier lifestyle, teaching skiing, snowboarding, canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing, bouldering, mountain biking and more!
 
12.   What are the cancellation policies for trips?
Day Trip Cancellation Policies:
For a full refund, cancellations must be made at least 72 hours prior to trip departure. Cancellations within a two (2) day window to trip departure will receive a 50% refund and cancellations within one (1) working day of trip departure will not be provide a refund.
NO REFUNDS will be given for no-shows.
Military duty/illness cancellations will be provided a full refund with proper documentation signed by a commanding officer or physician.
Overnight Trip Cancellation Policies:
Refunds for cancellations within 14 days of trip departure will consist of a pro-rated amount less the actual lodging costs.

13.   Can I transfer my trip ticket to another person if I booked a trip and now cannot go on it?
We accept transfers given prior notice by phone or in person, and provided that lodging arrangements are not affected by the transfer.

14.   If a trip is cancelled for any reason, will I get refunded/will the trip be rescheduled?
Full refunds will be given for any trips, tours, or activities cancelled by Outdoor Recreation Staff.
Outdoor Recreation will reschedule a trip, if possible, in the event of inclement weather.
