Steam Train, Devil's Cave and Alpine Coaster

Experience the beauty and grandeur of the Frankische Schweiz through the window of an early 20th century steam train traveling up the beautiful Wiesent Valley. Start with a round-trip steam train ride lasting approximately one hour, then enjoy lunch at a traditional Frankische beer keller on the shore of the Wiesent River. Afterwards, venture on to a tour of the Teufelshoehle (Devil’s Cave), which is a naturally formed limestone cave. While entering the cave system with more than 400 steps, explore deeper into the caverns filled with stalactites and stalagmites that are between 10 and 200,000 years old. Finish the day with an exhilarating Alpine Coaster experience, which is 3,500 feet in length and totals an elevation change of over 900 feet. Paddle boating is also an option for an additional cost.
