Steam Train and Cave
Experience the beauty and grandeur of the Frankische Schweiz through the window of an early 20th Century Steam Train traveling up the beautiful Wiesent Valley.

We will start our morning with a round-trip steam train ride lasting approximately one hour. Lunch will be at a traditional Frankische beer keller along the shore of the Wiesent River. We will then venture onto a tour of the Teufelshohle (Devil’s Cave) which is a naturally formed limestone cave. While venturing the cave system we will encounter over 400 steps, leading us deeper into the caverns filled with stalactites and stalagmites that are between 10 and 200,000 years old.
