Climb directly above Wolfgangsee on a rewarding summit hike to Schafberg, one of Austria’s best panoramic viewpoints. The steady ascent leads to sweeping 360° views of the Salzkammergut lake district and surrounding Alps. This is a classic early-season alpine objective, perfect for building your hiking endurance.

NOTE: Early registration is highly encouraged!
PARTICIPANT REQUIREMENTS
This is a rewarding but strenuous hike. Participants should be prepared for the following:
Distance/Elevation: Ability to hike 6–8 miles with 2,500–3,000 ft of elevation gain.
Pace: Maintain a steady uphill pace for several hours while carrying a light day pack.
