ACCELERATED FREEFALL COURSE (USPA)

Would you like to obtain your United States Parachute Association A-License? Well here is your opportunity to do so. Learn everything needed to safely load and exit the airplane, where you fall into the big blue sky above Bavaria. This course consists of ground school, your first seven jumps under the watchful eye of two instructors. Learn to pilot, land your chute onto the drop zone, and experience the thrill that only a few have experienced. After your first seven jumps, you are in Solo status and can show up to the drop zone when you have time. 25 jumps is all it takes to achieve this goal, come out and enjoy the view from above. STEAM TRAIN AND CAVE

Experience the beauty and grandeur of the Frankische Schweiz through the window of an early 20th Century Steam Train traveling up the beautiful Wiesent Valley. We will start our morning with a round-trip steam train ride lasting approximately one hour. Lunch will at a traditional Frankische beer keller along the shore of the Wiesent River. We will then venture onto a tour of the Teufelshohle (Devil’s Cave) which is a naturally formed limestone cave. While venturing the cave system we will encounter over 400 steps, leading us deeper into the caverns filled with stalactites and stalagmites that are between 10 and 200,000 years old.

Enjoy the crisp spring-air while tasting a few of Germany’s most delicious beers! The Five Brewery Hike is an approximately 12 kilometer hike located in the Little Swiss region of Upper Franconia, which travels through beautiful natural surroundings while visiting five traditional Frankish beer breweries. Join the Hohenfels Outdoor Recreation as we experience two of Germany’s favorite pastimes (hiking & beer) together! Participants who obtain a stamp card at the first location and receive a stamp at every brewery along the way will receive a commemorative krug at the end of their hike.

Pickup locations available throughout USAG Bavaria (Tower Barracks, Rose Barracks, and Hohenfels). Do something that scares you, every day. Walking out to the plane, loading and traveling up to 14,000 ft. above the earth’s surface. The door will open and everything below will be almost too small for you to recognize. Freefall for approximately 54 seconds at a speed of 120 MPH. Under canopy, enjoy the beautiful views offered only in Bavaria and steer alongside your Tandem-Master as you make your descent back to the drop-zone.
